Recipe for a Great Super Hero Movie…

You will need…1 x Blond locked beefcake with great subtle acting skills, 1 x gorgeous damsel in distress, a questionable ally/enemy in the form of a dodgy sibling and a scary spaceship full of naughty elves who have finally bested The Borg as an entire race of on screen 'resistance is futile' bastards.

Sprinkle liberally with character class act legends Anthony Hopkins, Stellen Skarsgard and Idris Elba and cook for a couple of hours.

For the sauce on the side you will need great irrelevant humour involving Frost Giant pet dogs, Stonehenge streaking and the Underground system.

Season well with a few key character deaths and enough hammer catching to lobby it as a new Olympic sport – no demi–gods allows though, that would be cheating.

And finally wash it all down with the fact it all looks bloody beautiful and the possibility that if Heaven exists it looks just like Asgard complete with bawdy taverns and thigh slapping mates to get pissed with.
